RAM is a kind of computer memory that temporarily stores information, improving your systems performance. Or in other words RAM simply holds data for the processor. The processor also has its own memory known as the L2 cache, the cache lies between the processor and the RAM. The processor sends and retrieves data from this cache, when this cache overflows data is sent to the RAM.

There are mainly four types of RAM; SD, DDR, DDR2 and DDR3. They differ in the way they operate and mainly in their operation speeds. All RAM's used in computers today have a synchronous interface meaning they wait for a clock signal before it can respond to clock signals.

SD RAM:

SDRAM stands for synchronous dynamic random access memory. SDRAM is Single Data Rate meaning that SDRAM can accept one command and transfer one word of data per clock cycle. As mentioned above SDRAM's have synchronous interface therefore they depend on the computer clock signals to perform operations. Typical speeds of SDRAM are 100 and 133 MHz.

DDR SDRAM:

DDR SDRAM stands for double data rate synchronous dynamic random access memory. DDR RAM transfers data twice per clock cycle, hence the name double data rate. DDR clock speeds range between 200 MHz (DDR-200) and 400 MHz (DDR-400). DDR-200 transfers 1600 MB/s, while DDR-400 transfers 3200 MB/s.

DDR2 SDRAM:

DDR2 SDRAM stands for double data rate 2 synchronous dynamic random access memory.DDR2 is twice as fast as DDR which means twice as much data is carried to the module for each clock cycle. Also due to the design improvements DDR2 consumes less power as compared to the DDR memory. DDR2 speeds range between 400 MHz (DDR2-400) and 800 MHz (DDR2-800). DDR2-400 transfers 3200 MB/s. DDR2-800 transfers 6400 MB/s.

DDR3 SDRAM:

So by now after reading the above it is quite obvious what DDR3 SDRAM stands for, double data rate 3 synchronous dynamic random access memory. In theory DDR3 is supposed to act twice as fast as DDR2 memories. Thus DDR3 speeds range between 800 MHz (DDR3-800) and 1600 MHz (DDR3-1600). DDR3-800 transfers 6400 MB/s; DDR3-1600 transfers 12800 MB/s.

Only gamers may notice the difference between DDR2 and DDR3 speeds, while for everyone else, even DDR will be sufficient. But if you are buying a new PC spending a little extra for the increased speed is always appreciated.
But in the end it all depends on your requirements and your budget. DDR3 will cost a lot more than DDR2, also for DDR3 speeds you will also need a motherboard that can support it, so if you are planning on upgrading your RAM to DDR3 you should be certain that your motherboard can support it. If your requirements do not involve heavy gaming or video editing and video processing then you have no need for the powerful DDR3 memory.

Computerday Part Optimization

Computerday Part Optimization
The Basics of Search Engine Optimization
Search engine optimization is a practice that is employed to promote a website’s presence on the Internet. The main aim of search engine optimization is to get the website among the first rankings on search engine result pages for any specific keyword or group of keywords. It is an area of the Internet that has been receiving an increasing amount of attention due to the competitiveness within the industry and the possible financial rewards associated with ranking on the first page.

How Search Engine Optimization Works
The basic premise of search engine optimisation is based on submitting a website to a search engine to include it (the website) in the search engine listings. However as the competitiveness of the industry grew, search engines have become more advanced by employing algorithms through which they rank the pages on the Internet. This has led to an explosion in techniques (both legitimate and some less so) employed by individuals and companies to promote their own organizations or those of their clients.

One of the key concepts that requires understanding when thinking in terms of search engine optimization is that search engines like Google base their algorithms on business principles which means that the client comes first – those people sitting behind their computers diligently wading through the search results to find the data they are looking for. And to add a bit more of complexity to this practice, keep in mind that the world of Internet technologies is an ever expanding one. It’s an industry driven with the idea of providing users with the most accurate and current information related to their search queries. Where once search engine optimization relied on a couple of straight forward strategies, it has now developed into a science.
Algorithms in Search Engine Optimization

Whenever you read or speak about search engine optimization, you’ll probably hear about algorithms. These are ‘formulas’ that are used to determine which pages are more relevant to the user. Things taken into account include the amount of recurring words on a page and whether they have any relation to one another and whether they refer to any particular industry or subject of human interest. To make things more interesting, especially for those in the search engine optimization industry, search engines have now started to store web users’ search results to determine which pages have been visited previously with the aim of updating subsequent searches for the same terms with new pages and pages with updated content. This leads to another field of search engine optimization called article submission and blog submission, all of which aim to cater for this search engine requirement by regularly submitting updated content to those websites that act as repositories.

Search engine optimization is an area of the Internet that will keep evolving with the addition and amendments of algorithms and technologies that all aim to provide the user with a comfortable and convenient web experience. It is also a field of interest that passively promotes free and accurate information to make it as comprehensive as possible. The only question that remains is whether the techniques employed for search engine optimization will continue to rely on human ability or whether this role will be sooner or later become automated.
By remy na

Computerday Part Motherboard

Computerday Part Motherboard
It Starts With A Motherboard
By: Victor Epand
It all starts with a motherboard when talking about computers. Simply put, this is a vital organ for all computers much the way our organs are in our own bodies. Technically, it is a primary printed circuit board that can be found in a complex electronic system. A better example of a complex electronic system known to pretty much everyone is the computer.

The motherboard has several other names, proving Shakespeare's theory that a rose by any other name would indeed smell as sweet. Known as a main board, baseboard, system board, planar board, logic board, and mobo, this is one pc supply that can't be skipped when building your own computer. It also means that a memory lapse may not mean that you can't get the part. I've seen techs recognize even the most bumbled explanations of what is wanted because of the vital nature of this component of computers.

The simplest of motherboards include sockets, slots, chipset, non-volatile memory chips, clock generator, and slots for expansion cards, power connectors, and circuits. Each of these is a necessary component that works together in tandem to be the brains of your computer. Sockets are the holders of the microprocessors as this is where they are installed. Slots hold the computers main memory while chipsets form an interface between the computer's busses and the main memory. Non-volatile memory stores the firmware for the computer and the BIOS, which is necessary to boot the computer. The clock generator is responsible for the system clock signal and synchronization capabilities while slot expansions interface through the busses. The power connectors receive the electrical power that makes all of the motherboard come alive.

As you can see, this one piece of equipment is vital to building a computer. No computer can operate without one. Because of the integral role of the motherboard, it is not surprising that the motherboard should be carefully chosen. Not all motherboards are created equal. Not all motherboards will work for all operating systems. These are unique pieces of equipment that your computer needs to operate and they need compatible components to work with them. If you build a motherboard for XP, for example, and you load Vista, you will probably have a problem that shows up as a silent computer regardless of your sound card choice. You would likewise see difficulties if you load a computer whose motherboard is compatible with Mac Leopard system with Linux or Windows. It simply won't work to your advantage.

When you begin shopping around for motherboards, it is important to know a little about what you want from the computer you are building as well as the operating system you plan to install on it. Upon investigating further, you should tell your sales representative about your must haves for the motherboard since this is the center of activity for your computer. This will help them help you get the perfect motherboard for your dream computer and at a cost that fits into the total budget that you have set for your project.

Computerday Part Antivirus

Welcome to my Computerday blog Again.Here you will learn about Computerday tips and how to find good information
How Antivirus Software Protects Your Computer
Its getting harder everyday to protect your data from the dangers posed by computer viruses. Therefore it will be worthwhile to know about the several types of computer training and its impact and usefulness in our life. Training in the computer can be of various types and there are different types of procedures for approaching it. Generally the term computer training comprises everything related to the computer as a whole. This training consists of lessons on the various parts of the computer, their functions and necessities and then the manner to compute or run the computer.

Also the content of this kind of computer trainings are based on the term or duration of the training procedure. For example, the duration of the course can be of a few months or of years and based on it the syllabus is designed. In the short term computer training classes, the emphasis is put on making the student aware of the general and basic computer term and a basic learning is provided with which the primary computer functions can be done. This type of training mainly includes the office package in it where the learner is trained on the MS-Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Whereas in the long term courses, which runs for at least a year, the training is given on every function of the computer including the hardware, software and networking with greater emphasis. The course fee of these types of training varies from each other based on the term and contents of it. That means the fees for a short term course, for example, of a three months course is less than that of one year course. Anyone can approach these computer trainings but for certain special courses some special educational qualifications are essential.

The importance of the computer training is rapidly increasing as it is required in each and every field in this fast growing world. Even the housewives too need to know the basics of the computer if they want to be an efficient home manager. Shopping, cooking, cleaning everything has become computerized nowadays. Even for guiding the little one in their school homework, the mother should have the primary computer knowledge. Keeping in mind this vital role of the computers numerous computer training institutions have opened up where any class and any age group can get admitted and take lessons. Also, the online computer training courses have made this procedure far more easy and accessible for the learners. Those who are very busy and find it tough to manage time for rushing to the institutes have been helped to a great extent by this online computer learning system. Thus the invention of the computer and an adequate knowledge on it has very well, converted the world into a global village.

Computerday Part Recovery

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5yfdiWfAIRY/SI7XnzExQRI/AAAAAAAAABY/Z5H4LIsgHtY/s320/01.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5228353296148807954" />
Computerday Part Recovery
Hard Drive Recovery for Your Valuable Data
By: fortunewords
The most valuable assets of a company or an organization reside in files on computer hard drives. This is the main storage element in the system. In many cases the electronic evidence on the hard drive requires special skill and experience in data recovery to identify and retrieve the data. The current crisis of the system can be attributed to a number of factors, such as the inability to access a hard drive especially when back-ups are not available.

Hard drive crashes, Virus attacks or losing your valuable files through accidental deletion can be quite disturbing in your work. Unfortunately the data loss caused by such a failure will lead to financial losses in an organization, as well as to personal life. If the data disaster caused by a hard drive failure is not immediately managed properly, then the data loss can become permanent.

Hard drives are mechanical magnetic storage devices that are extremely susceptible to failure such as head crashes, circuit board shorts, electrostatic shocks, power surges, overheating, etc. To a major extent power failure could damage the hard drive. While Power surges and sags damage hard drives to crash and corrupt Windows systems, databases and other programs and services which need safer shutdown. Unless you have good surge protectors, UPS and backup generators, you can’t always believe to have good and safe data.

Hard drive crashes and Disk Failures in general can be broadly classified into five categories they are

* Firm ware corruption
* Electronic failure
* Mechanical failure
* physical corruption
* Logical corruption.

Like other software, firmware can have bugs. When powered on, if the hard disk spins up and is not recognized by the computer then it can be altered as firmware failure. Sometimes the computer will properly recognize the hard drive spin up, but during boot up process it just hangs up before it starts up. The hard disk firmware is soft and corruption in it will not allow the computer to interact with the hard disk. The data in the disk could be recovered if the repair in the drive is rectified and reprogrammed. Recovery requires small level of programming and manipulation of the hard drive.

An electronic failure problem is based on the controller board of the actual hard disk failure where the computer power supply also acts as a source of fluctuations on the hard disk.

Mechanical hard disk failures are due to components internal to the hard disk itself. The data on the hard disk will become inaccessible as soon as an internal component goes wrong .This can be diagnosed, when the system is powered ON it makes a tickling sound. Do not attempt to open a hard disk if you suspect a mechanical fault because there is also a chance that you will destroy any chance of successfully recovering the data. Most common in recovery is unusual disturbing, which a hard disk recovery specialist alone could handle.

When your hard drive is making a ticking or a scratching noise due to bad parts, head crash, water damaged hard drive, and fire damaged hard drive can be caused and will indicate a physical failure. The aperture arm in the hard drive can fail motors or the platters can become damaged and lose the data that they hold.

In case of logical crash the damage is caused by the user such as invalid entry in file allocation, accidentally formatting the drive, loss of file system on a fragmented drive.

Of all these crashes you either need a hard drive recovery specialist or hard drive recovery software where hard drive recovery can work on all kinds of damages.

Computerday Part Laptop

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5yfdiWfAIRY/SISk39k762I/AAAAAAAAABQ/E5TIhqom3sY/s320/gV7R91215084186-1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5225482748985863010" />
Computerday Part Laptop
Getting a New HP Computer
By: Joe Flips
Getting a new computer or laptop can bring up issues for most. If you have a career or business in which computers are an integral part, you may not have any problem choosing one that is right for you. This may not be the case for everyone else, though. What is important when looking for a new computer is firstly to know what features you want, and then to look around for the best deal and a brand you can trust.

After checking out many different makes and models of laptop, I finally choose a HP computer, a Pavilion laptop, and have been very satisfied with it.

I have had the laptop for just over a year and really have no complaints about my purchase. The one issue I did have was a common problem for HP computers. My power cable gave up. With that said, HP support did move very quickly to rectify the issues and I was sent a new one free of charge a couple of days later.

Many other brands aren't reliable and don't have such great support. HP computer this is definitely not the case. The seldom go wrong and when they do, they sort it out very quickly indeed.

Customer service wasn't actually a factor in choosing a HP computer though. What got me was that they are incredibly well priced for the features you get with them. Other machines I looked at were more expensive and had less programs installed. We all use our computers for different things so being able to cater for every one is an important factor.

HP computers have something for all. It was not very hard for me to choose what model I wanted. They were all pretty much the same except for memory capacity and processor speed, which can vary.

You can choose another model if a HP computer doesn't have a feature you require. I don't think that will be the case and if you talk to someone who has one I am sure you would get a good recommendation from them.

With their track record and my personal experience, I can honestly say that I am glad I bought a HP computer. It has been a great servant

Computerday Part III

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5yfdiWfAIRY/SHognz7-qPI/AAAAAAAAABI/17L0pvsvgWk/s320/siamhadotcom-5749-6.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5222522586218277106" />
Computerday Part III
Virtual Memory, Does It Have A Limit?
By: Victor Epand
'Virtual memory' is a term that is heard from the day we are born in today's society. Everything virtual is more natural to younger generations than the trees of a park or the rippling water of a shallow creek. It seems that more and more can be stored and done by virtual methods every day. But, have we reached the limits of virtual memory usage or have we simply not found the depth of the well to date?

If we are talking about the amount of virtual memory available on the average desktop computer, then the answer is both. Since we haven't yet capped the size of the personal computer in virtual memory capacity, we can't truly know if we have found the bottom of the well or not. What we can ascertain is whether each individual spigot to the well has a depth equal to the algorithm that rules the ratio of all virtual memory on a system to the amount of available and usable virtual memory on the same system.

If your system has 4GB of available virtual memory, then only 3GB can be accessed and used. The additional 1GB is used for operational resources that allow you to run all those applications that are using the available virtual memory. If it were available, there'd be no memory space for your computer to keep track of all the applications running on your computer.

Each year, personal computers grow larger as we begin to demand more space for our daily lives in the virtual realm. Many people work from home and are finding that running a business on a computer requires large amounts of virtual memory. Computer manufacturers and designers listen, increasing the much coveted space available virtually for our use.

If the trend of growth in the size of computers increases as it has been for several more years at least, then we haven't come close to the bottom of the proverbial well. We have only dipped a few buckets and withdrawn a sampler of what's available. With this in mind, our current limitations won't be the same as our future limitations.

If you do try to run more than your computer will handle, your computer will complain with a warning that it can't run the requested application because it is out of memory. At this point, you can shut down applications you may not be working on and then run the desired application, or you can invest in some memory upgrades. Keep in mind that not all systems are capable of being upgraded easily, as is the case of the laptop computers. If you are forever finding yourself out of memory, it may be best to cut back on how many applications you run simultaneously.

Technology will keep increasing our available virtual memory, but for now there is a limit in the infinite world of virtual memory upon our desktops and laptops. Perhaps in ten years, that limit will no longer exist. However, maybe we already have plenty of virtual memory since more memory only indicates more work, more hours spent producing, and less living.

Computerday Part Search Engine

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5yfdiWfAIRY/SHNQ6Yz3sII/AAAAAAAAABA/gb5aHbazzFg/s320/cnt-pc03.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5220605357075181698" />
Search Engine Optimization Tactics: Local Search + How To Use Graphics and Flash
By: Jeff Finkelstein
With the global economy struggling, acquiring new customers is top of mind for most organizations.

Did you know that 50-70% of consumer and business purchasers start with a search engine like Google? If your website doesn't appear at the top of a search engine results page (sponsored ads or organic search results), you're losing potential customers to companies that do rank higher.

What can you do? I'll share with you my top strategies and tactics that can help you acquire new customers via search engine optimization and advertising.

1. Local Search Engine Advertising. For businesses that serve specific geographic regions (i.e. Denver, Colorado), you can create search engine ads in Google and Yahoo that only appear to people in your area.

How does this work? A search engine like Google uses a computer's IP address and other information to discover where someone is searching (including city and state).

Why does Google care where a person is located? Google's mission is to give their end users the best search results possible. So if I need a someone to walk my dog in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, it does me little good to receive a paid search result from Arizona. This is a real example - my brother has a petsitting business, and I've used local Google search engine advertising to drive new clients to his organization.

Thus Google (and the others) tries to match search results to the geographic location of the person searching.

How does Google make money? Google gives businesses and organizations the ability to display paid advertisements (sponsored results) on search results pages. These ads are triggered by keywords you choose (more on this in a different strategy).

You don't have to pay for your ad to display; you pay Google only when someone clicks on your ad. The technical term is Cost Per Click (CPC) advertising. The more relevant your ad (more on this later), the less you have to pay for specific keywords, and the higher up you will appear in the sponsored advertising results.

Local Search CPC Ads. In Google Adwords, you can create an advertising campaign that will target someone in a specific city or state. You can even specify a 5, 10 or 25 mile radius from a specific location (like your retail showroom or office). Below your local ad, Google will place the name of your local area (i.e. Denver, Colorado)... making it more likely that someone searching in your area will choose your organization vs. an out-of-town competitor.

Local CPC Ads are usually a more cost effective option than a national search engine advertising campaign. As a general rule of thumb, the more geographically targeted and specific you can be, the less money you'll need to pay to acquire new customers. And make sure you have conversion tracking code placed on your site, so you can measure and track how much you're paying for each new customer via local search engine advertising.

2. Don't Confuse The Search Engines With Graphics. Search engines are really good at reading text. But they've very easily confused. And if Google gets confused when it crawls through your site, you won't rank very high in search results.

Search engines, for example, can't read words that are contained in graphics or flash animation. So if your company's name is only contained in a graphic on your site, this content is 'invisible' to a search engine. Same thing goes for product or service names.

The root of the problem lies with graphic designers. Graphic designers are really good at building graphics. And don't take this to mean I don't like graphic designers. (I employ a bunch of them, but they know how to do SEO-friendly design.)

But most websites are designed by graphic designers who are really good at building graphics, and less interested in Search Engine Optimization (SEO). It takes a bit more time to have content placed in text, and use a stylesheet to format it so that a search engine can read it. Especially when it's just so easy to create a good looking graphic in photoshop.

Even if you're not worried about organic search positioning, but are doing paid search engine marketing (like Google Adwords), it's important that the content on your site is easily digested by a search engine.

Why? Google Adwords ranks the pages on your website, and compares it to your keywords and ad copy. The more relevant Google ranks the text on your site, the less you'll have to pay for a sponsored ad on Google (and the higher your position).

In Summary: Don't confuse search engines by keeping your content 'locked up' in graphics. It's a small little detail in the web design process, but one that will pay dividends for a long, long time with increased search results.

3. Title Tags & Why They Matter. When you search in Google, the search results on the next page each start with a blue underlined link.

What displays in this blue link is usually what is contained in the title tag of a web page. The keywords you placed in the search box are usually boldfaced in the search results.

So, just what is a title tag, and why does it matter for search engine positioning?

According to the World Wide Web Consortium (w3.org), the Title tag was designed to help people "identify the contents of a document." When people view individual web pages out of context (often via search), context-rich page titles help tell the visitor a summary of the page.

Instead of a title like "Introduction", which doesn't provide much contextual background, web designers should supply a title such as "Introduction to Medieval Bee-Keeping" instead.

Google and other search engines use these rich contextual clues as a way to hone its search results.

On a web page, the title tag is part of the HTML code. Here's what the code looks like on Customer Paradigm's site:
Title: Customer Paradigm: Website Design, Development, Email Marketing, Content Management, PHP programming

Most end users won't see the title tag*. But the title tag is what a subject ine is to an email campaign: It entices the end user to pay attention and open the page to read more.

Top Five Most Common Mistakes for Title Tags:

A. Untitled: When many of the popular programs create a new HTML page, it puts 'Untitled' into the title tag. It's up to the Web designer to change this... and since most users don't see it, sometimes they forget to change it.

B. No Title Tag: Like the "Untitled" tag, another key mistake is simply leaving out the title tag. If you do a view source (Internet Explorer: Right Click and select View Source), and the title tag doesn't appear... then you don't have a title tag.

C. "About" Tag: Another common mistake for title tags is to have the title tag refer to a section of your website. But a title tag that reads, "About" doesn't tell me much about what the company or website is "About." Instead, have it read:
Title: Customer Paradigm - About the Company: Website Development & Marketing, Email Deployment and php programming

This is sure to get more keywords into the title tag, and if you're searching for a company, you instantly know what they do.

D. No Company Name In Title Tag: We recommend putting your company name at the beginning of the title tag, so that people can quickly see your company's name when they search.

E. Same Title Tag on Multiple Pages: You should have a unique title tag for each page of the site. Why? As each page is unique, you should have a title tag that describes it's unique content.

* Here's where they might interact with the title tag:
- The title tag is displayed at the top left of most people's browser window.
- Page titles are used as the default description for a person's bookmarks when someone bookmarks a site.
- Visually impaired people use title tags to summarize the contents of a page before they have a text-to-speech reader read the contents of the page.
- These, along with Google's search results, are the only places end users actually see the title tag.

Computerday Part Upgrading Your PC

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5yfdiWfAIRY/SGzUrNUT2pI/AAAAAAAAAA4/fQiukz0sYDI/s320/200712-10-002124-1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5218779906989873810" />
Computerday Part III
Crash Course on Upgrading Your PC
By: Kay Brener
Upgrading your PC is a great way to save some of your cash; swapping out old hardware for newer, faster components is often cheaper than buying a new PC, and if armed with some technical knowledge, can match the results, speed and pep, of a newer computer. It's wise to come up with a game plan before you start randomly upgrading parts, though.

Consider what your PC already has inside and make a note of it. There's no sense in upgrading your memory if you already have the maximum amount your motherboard will allow, and if you're seeking a performance boost, doubling your RAM can often be easier and cheaper than doing a CPU transplant. A good PC upgrade plan consists of knowing your current hardware, doing a little research, and finally, doing the hardware install.

We suggest that the purchase list for your upgrade starts with the RAM (random access memory). With a little investment, you can considerably improve the performances on your computer, but first, you need to make a little research on your computer to see how much RAM you can install on it and what type you should buy to avoid any conflict between the new component and the motherboard.

Here are a few things to ponder before obtaining more memory: If a memory module's access time is low, it'll support a CPU with a high bus rate, and if your CPU has a high bus frequency, it'll behoove you to buy high quality memory.

When I say graphics card, you see big cash saying good-bye to your wallet. Let me tell you something: you do not need an expensive, end of the line graphics card, unless you intend to run on your computer the latest 3D video games or complicated video editing software. If, instead, you do not care for all this and you are another type of user, then ponder more if you really need a new graphics card or not.

If you use your machine just for surfing the web, writing e-mails and Word documents, then take the graphics card off the list. Remember, we are talking hard cold cash here, and it will be too expensive to purchase a $600 graphics card just to play Solitaire. There are also other aspects, if your graphics card is too old and it is need of dire replacement. See what kind of slot your motherboard has for the graphics card - PCI, PCI Express or AGP and plan your purchases accordingly.

With MP3s, digital photographs, and videos quickly eating up precious hard drive space, a hard drive upgrade is a must if you don't want to run out of space for future files. Grafting on an extra 200 gigabytes to your system for your files to reside on is faster and less of a hassle than having to backup to a thumb drive or DVD.

Most hard drive upgrade kits sold provide software that will allow you to easily transfer the entire contents of your old hard drive. This saves you from the laborious job of backing up all your files and doing a clean install of Windows on the new hard drive. Swapping out your older hard drive for a newer model will typically decrease loading and saving times, resulting in a noticeable improvement of your computer

There are also other aspects to be regarded when upgrading your PC. If your model is a brand computer, such as Dell, HP or IBM, putting on a new motherboard may prove to be quite a challenge. So, changing the motherboard during your upgrade effort may require other expenses, such as a new case for your computer.

Upgrading the components in your PC can give your old computer a much needed spring in its step. But before you open up your wallet and your PC's case, be sure to have a game plan before performing transplant surgery on your box.

Computerday Part II

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5yfdiWfAIRY/SGU-d23fJ5I/AAAAAAAAAAw/y4ZrPwbJBqg/s320/server39.jpeg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5216644426043959186" />
Computerday Part II
How to Make HTML Web Template
By: Priya Singh
HTML means Hyper Text Markup language.
We are discuses for how can make a html web templates set a web design elements, image is specified color look of profession and text, color combination schemes define and attractive page appearance you can used HTML tag is a right way. What purpose does cluttering up people's computers serve?' The answer, as I'm sure you might have guessed, is profit related.

1. They sell advertising to other companies
Spyware makers know that they have a large number of computers that their software is installed on so they are able to sell ad inventory to other companies who want to advertise to people like you. These companies pay the spyware makers to have their ads shown when people open their web browsers or visit certain web sites.

Removing spyware by using an anti-spyware tool means that you are one less person that the spyware companies can make money from.

2. They advertise their own anti-spyware software
You have to admire a pretty good scam and this sure is one of them! The spyware makers get you to unknowingly install their spyware and then they show you ads to buy their own anti-spyware software! They are basically extorting money from unwitting people who don't realize that they are paying the equivalent of a mob asking for 'protection money.'

Sometimes, the ads mislead people into installing anti-spyware software which is actually MORE spyware! A legitimate spyware removal tool such as No Adware can help to end your spyware problems by cleaning out any spyware or adware residing on your computer.

3. They get paid every time spyware is installed
Some unscrupulous companies offer a small kickback to anyone who gets their spyware software installed on computers. They can afford to do that based on the reasons listed above. This creates a profit opportunity for dishonest people who are now acting as distributors of spyware. This has created an cottage industry of people who make money indirectly from the people who make money directly from spyware!

4. They track what web sites you visit and then show you ads relevant to your interests
Another way spyware makers make money is by tracking the web sites you visit and then showing you ads that are similar to the sites you visit regularly. This means that if you are a music fan that is browsing your favorite bands' web sites, spyware makers might pop up ads that link you to an MP3 download service.

If you end up subscribing to the service, they get a kickback from the company or they are getting paid upfront to show ads to users that they establish as music fans.

Thinking about spyware makers making money off of unsuspecting people is enough to make your blood boil. It's a dirty business full of unscrupulous individuals. Using a spyware removal utility such as No Adware is your best chance at avoiding all of this, especially because No Adware offers customers a free scan to see if it can fix the problems.

Computerday

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5yfdiWfAIRY/SF6wtFVRhvI/AAAAAAAAAAg/lOxuBvWk45o/s320/VENTO7700.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5214799707113621234" />
Computerday : Part Computer Games
Sell The Computer Games If You Do Not Want Them In Your System
By: Victor Epand
If you are a computer lover, computer games would not be a new thing for you. People from all age groups love to play them during their free time. But it is a fact that no one wants to play the same game after achieving the end point or final goal. Every game has its craze until you do not achieve its final round.

What will you do once you get bored with these games? Eliminate it from your computer? Then, what will you do with the software? We can tell you the best way to get rid of the old computer game software. You can sell used computer games software and get new ones in return. Check out the points below and know how you do it.

There are games which can be played on your personal computer rather than on television or video game console. Once you do not want them in your computer system, you can sell them to any of the computer shops. Many shops do the business of second hand computer games where you can get reasonable money in return. A person should not discard the software in no way as it can be used in many other ways as well.

In many cities, companies run replacement offers. In these offers, you can sell the used software and get a new one at half the price. If your computer game software is very good in graphics, pictures, color and sound, then it is probable that you will find more discount in your next purchase.

You have also an option to sell used ones online as well. By taking help of any of the website companies, you can display your advertisement online. In this respect, you do not have to do anything except providing money to the website and they will take care of everything else. For example, they will find customers for your software and in the end, get away with the already decided charges.

A person can sell used computer games to different off line as well as online companies. These companies directly exchange your software for cash. Now, some of the games that can get the attention of a large number of customers are video games involving fights, conflicts and adventures. For example, if you are tired with the games like Mario in space, and Guitar Hero you can sell them easily.

A large number of people are interested in these games. Many can afford the heavy price of the new games. But there are those who can't or do not want to spend a big amount on them. You can give them some benefit and can obtain your own at the same time. So, what are you waiting for? Play with a computer game as much as you can, and if they are still in good working condition, sell them for newer ones.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5yfdiWfAIRY/SFqooTXxuXI/AAAAAAAAAAY/kAZIVF1laF8/s320/LCD-Panel---Notebook_cte.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5213664928983005554" />

COMPUTER BACKUPS
By: Sudhir.K.Sharma

COMPUTERS AND HALLOWEEN, DO THEY MIX?

Computer backup is so important to your computer that to ignore it is to risk its damnation.

Computers require care and feeding. They require that you attend to their needs. If you don't, then they will most surely be sent to Hell.

Halloween means Hell. What! What do you mean that Halloween means Hell?

Well, if your computer is given the option of trick or treat, which will it accept? Will it accept the trick or the treat? What do you think?

Halloween is the time that computers are subject to tricks or treats. Did you know that more computers fail on Halloween than any other day of the year? That’s right. It’s true (smile). Your computer is in danger! Protect it. Do your computer backups.

Back to the Hell thing. Hell you say? Yep. Well, what do you mean by Hell?

Computer hell is the place for computers without computer backup. The failure to perform hard drive backup means that you are playing Russian Roulette with your data. Data needs your protection. Failure to protect your data may cause your home or business records to be sent to Hell.

Hell in this instance is for the records and files that cannot be resurrected. Resurrected you say, what does that mean?

It means that without computer backup as a source of salvation then the files can safely enjoy eternal oblivion. Oblivion you say, what does that mean? That means they are eternally lost from computer resurrection.

Is there any mercy for my precious files, you ask?

Why yes there is. Would like to know what the mercy for your files is? Yes! Yes! You say.

OK boys and girls listen carefully. The salvation, mercy, resurrection and redemption of your files lies in regular and consistent and persistent computer backup.

If you backup your computer consistently and persistently your files will be resurrected and saved from accidental deletion, hard drive failure and those nasty things like fire, flood, theft, earthquake, hurricanes, tornados and the like!

Computer backup is the key to your data's salvation!

Do your computer backups boys and girls.

Milk and cookies will be served in the pantry.

Trick or treat for your computer backup?

Next Time Here you will learn about Computerday tips and how to find good information.

Computerday

Welcome to my Computerday blog.Here you will learn about Computerday tips and how to find good information.
How To Choose A New Computer

by Janet Attard
© 2006 Attard Communications, Inc.

In the market for a new computer? Don't pay for add-ons you don't need.

Retail stores and discounters often sell computers as package deals. Instead of getting just the computer CPU, you get the computer, monitor, a printer and possibly some software as part of the deal. Although these may be good deals for people buying their first computer, they may not be a bargain in other situations.

That's because the computer, itself, may not have the bells and whistles you really want. For instance, if you're going to be using a lot of graphics programs, storing a lot of audio and video files, playing games, or expect to have several programs open at the same time, a computer that is part of a package deal may not have enough memory or a fast enough processor speed to suit you. Or, it may not have the version of Windows that's best for the way you plan to use the computer. Upgrades to memory and operating system can add a couple hundred dollars to your initial purchase price.

Furthermore, all those "free" goodies that come with the computer may not really meet your needs. If you need a laser printer for office correspondence, or a fast inkjet printer, the low-end inkjet printer that comes "free" with the package deal won't do you any good. And if the package deal comes with a 17-inch CRT and what you really want is a 19-inch flat panel monitor, you'll have to pay extra for the "upgrade." If you're planning to add on a wide monitor or a second monitor, you may need to change the graphics card, which will add more to the purchase price.

Unless you're buying your first computer or adding another computer to those you already own, software that's preloaded as part of a package deal may prove useless or unneeded as well.

That's because the computer, itself, may not have the bells and whistles you really want.
